  1. Hi guys,

Thanks so much for the podcasts, its so informative and fun to listen to.
Since you always ask for feedback I thought I'd give my suggestion and also a question for you :)
I have just listened to the podcasts on terroir (only just discovered you so I'm catching up!), and I thought it was harder to listen to or to concentrate , since it was such a large topic I get the impression its hard to focus too much but I thought the previous podcasts were much more limited in the topic you discussed so it was easier to follow. These two were a bit more confusing...

Question; do all good wines need to be corked rather than screw top? I saw a nice pinot noir from New Zealand the other day but the fact that it was a screw top really put me off buying it. What is the real truth about corks? are good wines only corked? should this be a tip to take into account when trying to buy good wine or is it a myth?
    Thanks!!

  2. Hi and thanks for your great comment!

Glad you like the podcast. I completely understand about the terroir episode. Some of the stuff we do is dorkier than other stuff. That was a big topic and it can be very confusing, so I get where it can be hard to follow if it's new info. That's probably as detailed as it gets, except for maybe the one on how a grape becomes a wine (let me know if that one worked or not -- I'd love your feedback!).

Regarding your question on wine closures, I'm going to direct you to a TV appearance I did in Boston that will give you all the answers to that! Here's the link...it's only about 4 minutes and it answers all your questions!:
